Experience has shown that the our philosophy of promoting active minds and bodies improves well-being. We arrange a range of activities and entertainment to enhance the quality of life of those in our care.

Bingo

Card and Board Games

Reminiscence Exercises

Music appreciation

Shopping trips

Handicrafts

In addition to the activities listed above we arrange various trips to places of interest, as well as Mobility classes and other regular activities. Our Activities organiser can also help residents pursue their individual hobbies and interests.

Mail is delivered by Royal Mail, and is forwarded to your room as soon as possible after delivery. Outgoing mail can be given to a staff member or a relative to post.

Daily newspapers can be delivered to the home for your personal uses (charges apply).

Pets are welcomed by prior arrangement with the management, as long as adequate provision can be made for their care. Visitors' pets are allowed onto the premises provided that they are supervised at all times and permission has been obtained from the Nurse in Charge.

Residents are permitted to consume alcohol on the premises, provided that it is not medically ill-advised. For reasons of safety, and for the benefit of other residents we do, however, apply certain "common-sense" restrictions.

Residents can watch TV or listen to the radio in the lounges or in their own rooms. We also arrange days / nights out at local events, as well as a variety of other special events throughout the year.

We also encourage visits by clergymen of all denominations. If there is sufficient demand, small services can also be held at the home. We can also arrange for you to attend your own church with relatives and friends.

Fund-raising events are also organised from time to time - there are hugely popular and well-supported by relatives and friends.

Services

We also offer a comprehensive range of personal services from specialists who visit the home to cater for hairdressing, chiropody, and physiotherapy, as well as to offer treatment for dental and optical problems.
