Some recent events at The Shrubbery Nursing Home

December was quite eventful with a full calendar of guest Carol singing, pet therapy and Christmas Musical presentations.

The Christmas bazaar was very successful and we would like to express out thanks for the goods donated.

The Christmas Party was thoroughly enjoyed by the Residents and Staff alike.

Refurbishments

The refurbishment of the Home continues with the rooms being redecorated on an ongoing basis. The recent addition of a medical room has been well received by the qualified staff: the additional space and equipment storage allows them to provide even more effective care for residents.

The new beds have been welcomed by staff and residents alike. They are purpose designed so that residents can be easily assisted in and out of bed. Residents find them much more comfortable too.

Refurbishments of the conservatory are well underway. We are installing new films on the windows to block out harmful UV rays and to reduce glare. A new heater / cooler system will also be installed very soon, so that residents will be able to enjoy the conservatory throughout the year. New furniture provides the finishing touch, making the room feel much more homely.
